Andrew Howrigan, often known as Drew, is a Financial Planner at Commonwealth Financial Group, attended the University of Vermont, and is a 4th generation Vermonter.
Drew’s passion for excellence and leadership began playing on football, hockey, and baseball teams from a young age. An insatiable work ethic was also developed as a strong core value growing up in a large dairy farming and maple sugaring family, with over 50 first cousins!
After attending the University of Vermont for Civil Engineering, Drew found that his passion was in working with people, and began working in Sales in the wireless industry, at Verizon. It was there that Drew found and developed communication and leadership skills to help build and train a team of over 40 people to be the most elite version of themselves, but it left him wanting to make more of an impact on others.
After a tragic life event in which a close family member became ill and passed away, Drew met with a financial planner for the first time and instantly became fascinated and interested in the financial services industry.
Years later, Drew has established himself working with a wide variety of clients, including healthcare, sales, laborers, and military members, helping them become more educated and efficient financially. Drew specializes in working with dynamic, high-performing professionals, entrepreneurs, and business owners all over the country. Having spent the past 8+ years in a professional environment while coming from a farmland background, gives Drew a unique ability to connect the dots between the blue-collar and white-collar world.
Drew takes a unique and proactive approach that is process-driven and allows him to create a relationship with his clients. In this relationship, he is not only educating them to make more empowered financial decisions but also acts as an advocate for clients when working with other professionals. Such as accountants, lawyers, mortgage brokers, and credit specialists to ensure ALL financial decisions are made with your goals and financial best interests in mind.
Constant improvement, education, and a diligent morning routine are cornerstones of Drew’s success. He is a part of Apex Entourage, a community that allows him to be constantly learning from others and filling his cup to be able to pour more into his clients. Drew enjoys clients becoming friends and being a confidant through the ups and downs of life.
Drew lives in South Burlington, VT and enjoys socializing and staying active, working out in the gym, getting outside to enjoy the many local bike paths, boating on the lake, and hiking or skiing in the beautiful mountains of Vermont.
